What If Technology Disrupts Your Business Model? (Edge of Aging, Part II)
In the latest episode of the new podcast Edge of Aging, Cooper Linton and Nicole Clagett continue their conversation on in-home technology with Jason Ray, Chief Development Officer for SimplyHome.
In this episode, Linton and Clagett discuss roadblocks that are disrupting faster implementation of this technology.
Here's a sneak preview of the conversation, with two insightful quotes from Jason:
"There's a variety of reasons we get...It [may disrupt] someone's business model; so if you have a pretty defined and profitable business model that says we're going to take people through this continuum of care – and you're saying now we have a technology that can keep them more independent longer – well, that interrupts that flow in their business model."
"There are lots of things are technologically possible and technically possible, but they aren't things that should be done if you are going to apply technology ethically. Sometimes it's not an ethical application of technology."
