SimplyHome Partners with AccessiBe

SimplyHome has recently upgraded the accessibility of its website through a partnership with AccessiBe. The AccessiBe widget, which can be located in the lower corner of our website, is the number one fully automated Americans Disabilities Act (ADA) and Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliant solution. This widget has many different options to ensure individuals with varying disabilities can access and enjoy the content on our website. This tool allows the individual to personalize the website display through color, contrasts, fonts, and more.

 As a company that empowers individuals with disabilities, we want to ensure that not only the products we design are accessible, but all areas of our business (including branding and web design) are accessible as well. Propelled by the pandemic, much of our daily activities take place online. From Zoom work meetings to online banking and virtual exercise classes, we all spend the majority of our waking hours in front of a computer screen. With this in mind, it is imperative for us to consider some of the barriers an individual with a disability might face in this digital landscape. AccessiBe works to eliminate some of these barriers through its sophisticated widget.

Some of the adjustments AccessiBe can make to a website are eliminating flashes and reducing color for an individual with a seizure disorder, enhancing color on the website’s visuals for a vision-impaired individual, a view that eliminates distractions for individuals with ADHD, and a screen reader function for a blind user.
